Happy new year lovely friends, it is great to be back here. I spend a lot of time writing about exquisite houses and projects, but am often asked about how to update spaces for less and am passionate that creating a beautiful home is not directly linked to how much you spend.
At this time of year after all the excess of Christmas and New Year we are all looking for quick wins that don’t cost us anything, so I hope these few tips help you reset your look at home. January is such a great month to spend some of your spare time getting organised at home - when you reorganise your spaces and freshen up your outlook, its impact is just as powerful on your head space and creativity, as it is on how you feel about your home.
As always forget about resolutions and putting pressure on yourself to create the perfect space. In my opinion neither work, its simply about following a path that feels right to you in this moment in time. Surround yourself with the things you love and the people you care about and everything else generally falls into place.
So let’s jump in - these are my top 15 tips for re-energising your spaces, when and if you get the time this month.
Hope these tips help. Next week I am sharing my thoughts and sourcebook on beds and bedding. So look forward to sharing ideas with you.
As a lover of storytelling, words and images, I am excited to be able to communicate and share with you in a longer form way, as an extension to my instagram feed, and am so grateful for those supporting me with a paid subscription, which helps to support me writing these newsletters. I am so conscious that not everyone has the means to do this, however, which is why I have removed my paywall. Which ever way you choose to subscribe I am very grateful for the support. It is great to be connected on here. Wishing you all a very happy new year!

Wonderful, thank you Ali for the inspiring ideas. I often find re-positioning furnishings energises me to do bigger projects which I've been stalling on too.
All the very best for a happy year ahead.
I've just braced my husband for the fact I want to remove all the books in the dining room shelves when it becomes the snug - can't wait to see the space anew!
