ABOUT ME
I am an author, interiors expert, journalist, stylist, designer, creative consultant and 1:1 mentor, living in the South of England, in a 370-year-old, Georgian townhouse. I am married, with two grown up children.
My first bestselling book CURATE published internationally in 2021, breaks down how to create an individual home for you, that reflects your story and style. My second bestselling book CREATE, encourages you to mix old and new at home, and to create freely. It is a subject I am passionate about - I believe we are all creative, we just need to trust our ability.
I have spent more than half my life working in creative industries, and for the past 20 years as an independent business owner. I began my career working in commercial marketing and sales roles for Marks & Spencer and Kraft Foods, before moving agency side as an account director and then heading up new business for a top ten agency. I left the corporate world when I was 30, ready to set up on my own – first as an antiques dealer, then as a marketing consultant for interior clients, before transitioning into styling and writing.
I now write for all the leading interior press and weekend supplements, including Homes and Gardens, Modern Rustic, Elle Decoration, Living Etc, House and Garden, Country Homes & Interiors, Country Living, Enki, YOU magazine, The Times, The Telegraph, HTSI and The Observer. I also syndicate internationally via my picture library in Milan, Living Inside, and am featured regularly in top international titles. In addition I carry out design work for private clients, and am regularly commissioned by brands and individuals to help with their creative direction, and to supply 1:1 industry mentoring.
Storytelling and creating mean everything to me – and the power of words and visuals to bring to life a person’s creativity, informs everything I do and love.

I am passionate about the importance of curiosity and the impact it has on our ability to be creative and to live our life in the way we choose for ourselves, not restricted by other people’s thinking or our own self limitations, so I am very happy to be part of this platform with you.
I am venturing into this space, as an addition to Instagram. I love the creative community that IG has extended to me, but I have wanted to start communicating more actively with my followers, in a longer form way. Sharing and imparting the knowledge that I have built up in the interiors sector and in business, over the past 30 years, with other likeminded souls who, like me, are on a creative journey that continues to pivot. I have removed my paywall as I want this to be a community that breaks down barriers and supports growth and talent. So come on in - I am so happy you are here.
WHY SUBSCRIBE?

My aim is to demystify this sector, and share my expertise on interiors, design, styling, books, creativity and business - to offer valuable advice, key insights, and personal best practices, that are down-to-earth, real and proven. Highly targeted, effective pointers, that together can transform how you view your home, yourself, and your business.
I will create content about the art of making a home, advice on where to source unique pieces for your home, and interview industry guests who will impart their knowledge too. Along with behind-the-scenes guidance on developing your own voice and business, believing in yourself, and trusting your own intuition to create freely in all you do.
My ‘why’ within my business is about Bringing Creativity To Life, a subject I am passionate about whether in your home, work or life. I openly practice a philosophy of Curiosity and Creating Freely, and believe that making a beautiful home, or developing our own businesses is something that we are all capable of. Creativity is not for just a gifted few, it is within us all. And can be a powerful part of how we live our lives.
I hope this becomes a place for ideas, confidence, inspiration, encouragement and support. We get one go to make life as special as it can be, so trust in yourself and your talents.
